The importance of Pseudocode

Objective: Explain what pseudocode is and why we use it.

What is Pseudocode?

In short, Pseudocode is the logical version of code. It it written in simple language and defines what way the code should be written. Pseudocode should be written in a way that anyone should be able to understand what the task at hand is.

If you were writing a simple logical problem such as if value A is greater than value B do something and if not do something else. Within the code or script you would type it something similar to the next figure.

The above Pseudocode could be written to understand the task at hand. You would then go line by line of the Pseudocode writting the code logic to match the problem. This would allow anyone seeing the following code and understanding what is happening by reading the Pseudocode above it.
